Lifeguard

Duties:

  • Provide surveillance of guests primarily in aquatic areas but also on decks and within the resort.
  • Enforce the rules and regulations and render appropriate disciplinary measures when necessary.
  • Respond to emergency situations in their assigned zone. Assist in communicating emergency situations outside of their zone.
  • Maintain skills at test-ready level in accordance with SwimSafe Pool Management’s Training Program.
  • Advise aquatics management of unsafe and/or unsanitary conditions.
    Assist guests in a polite and quick manner.
  • Perform daily routine duties and maintenance of pool to ensure neat and orderly appearance.
  • Attend all trainings offered by SwimSafe Pool Management.

Qualifications:

  • Current license in StarGuard. Training available.
  • Demonstrates ability to provide care, sensitive consideration and efficient service to guests.
  • Must be at least 15 years of age.

Physical Requirements:

  • Swim 300 yards, tread for 1 minutes and retrieve a 10 lb brick at bottom of water.
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to work in a humid environment and/or be immersed in water for extended periods of time
  • Position sometimes requires the ability to lift, push, and pull at least 50 lbs

Pool Manager

Seeking candidates whom have a commitment to, customer service, professionalism and the highest level of integrity.

  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Must be able to swim and have strong customer service and safety skills.
  • Must be able to work at least 40 hours per week and be available weekdays and weekends.
  • Be authorized to work in the United States.

Duties:

  • Work with Management team, to provide a safe and pleasant work environment for employees. Help employees grow and understand SwimSafe policies.

Concession Manager

  • Perform daily routine duties in concession stand to ensure neat and orderly work area. Attend all training’s offered by SwimSafe Pool Management.
    Work with our Concession Director to set up and perform in-service or various trainings as needed.

Regional Manager Job – Service and Management:

Scope Of Responsibilities Dimension & Scope:

This position is responsible for the development, management and execution of SwimSafe’s Regional Pool Operations. This position will interface with Property Managers, Aquatic Managers, Home Owner Association Board Members and property owners regarding SwimSafe services and other miscellaneous services. This position will manage day to day operations and personnel servicing swimming pools, both indoor and outdoor.

Specific Responsibilities Principal Duties And Responsibilities:

  • Primary responsibility – Hire, train and support personnel servicing pools. Auditing service quality/delivery. Perform pool spring openings, seasonal operations, fall closings and winterization. Strong troubleshooting skills. Maintain and perform minor repairs of pool equipment. Responsible for sales and billing of pool supplies, minor repairs and parts. Manage part-time seasonal pool technicians required to service pools and year round technicians servicing indoor aquatic centers.
  • Work with swimming pool chemicals, chemical control systems and pool infrastructure, such as: filters, pumps, motor, plumbing, etc. Order and control inventory of chemicals, bathroom paper products and cleaning supplies required to operate the pool.
  • Interface with Property managers, Aquatic center operation managers, HOA/COA board members and resident property owners/pool users. Work with county and state personnel responsible for health dept inspections of pool water, chemical balance and infrastructure reviews.
  • Manage pool network operations: includes job site safety, develop/adjust pool technician routes, schedules, define work requirements and time allocations to complete route services. Understand the client’s expectations and define this to SSPM service employees and set up quality checks to insure proper SSPM execution.
  • Coordinate personnel hiring, training, work schedules, payroll and coaching. Manage and own the day-to-day operations, as well as administrative needs, of each pool in the region.
  • Coordinate pool walkthroughs with Prop Mgrs, HOA/COA, etc. to assist with repair and replacement needs and help develop annual and longer term pool budgets.

Pool Attendant

As a Pool Attendant, you would be responsible for ensuring a clean, safe and fun environment for guests at the pool by showing a strong commitment to customer service. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Greet guests and attend to their pool-related needs (front desk/concessions)
  • Maintain pool area in terms of safety and cleanliness
  • Maintain equipment in particular area, ensuring all protocols are followed
  • Monitor use of the facility and address and/or report potential hazards
  • Respond to guest inquiries and service issues in a timely, friendly and efficient manner
  • Ensure proper recording and collecting of money for concessions, passes, guests, lessons, etc
  • Perform other duties as needed
  • Because each of our pools are operated individually, the needs of that particular facility may vary.

Lifeguard Trainer

Job Summary:
The primary responsibility of a StarGuard Instructor is the certification of all aquatic staff employed by SwimSafe.  The secondary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, performing audit, assisting in in-services and providing any additional training to staff as directed by the Aquatic Safety Director.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be at least 19 years of age
  • Must be a high school graduate
  • Current, valid lifeguard certification
  • Complete the most current version of the StarGuard Instructor Self Study Course

Experience managing or supervising lifeguards (clinical competence) Knowledge:

Demonstrate a strong, cognitive grasp of the subject matter
Proficiently demonstrate all skills taught in the StarGuard program

Ability to:

  • Train and evaluate SwimSafe staff
  • Maintain effective and positive relations with public, supervisors, and staff
  • Provide leadership and motivate staff/participants
  • Maintain records and periodic reports
  • Accept constructive criticism and direction from the Aquatic Safety Director
  • Respond appropriately to feedback from class participants and staff
  • Effectively deal with stressful and emergency situations, including fire and police
  • Successfully complete all training provided by SwimSafe
  • Create an action plan with the Aquatic Safety Director for managers regarding, but not limited to, directing staff in compliance of company policies and rule enforcement, enforcing water safety standards and regulations and general supervision of staff

  • Be a team player
  • Maintain a flexible attitude in regards to obstacles, training locations and tools, and potentially schedules
  • Accept tasks as assigned

There are five (5) levels of instructor authorization:

  • 1-Star – instructor with no prior experience; authorized to co-teach StarGuard courses with a 2-Star
  • 2-Star – authorized to teach StarGuard courses with or without co-instructors
  • 3-Star – Instructor Trainer authorized to teach both StarGuard and StarGuard Instructor courses
  • 4-Star and 5-Star – Faculty positions with Starfish Aquatics

Responsibilities:

  • 1-Star Instructors
    • Teach a minimum of 3 classes each calendar year
      Earn 2-Star rating within a year of initial certification
  • 2-Star Instructors
    • Teach a minimum of 3 classes each calendar year
    • Conduct a minimum of 3 pool visits and 15 LG audits per month during the summer

Swim Coach

Requirements:

  • Competitive swimming experience through high school required, some college swimming preferred.
  • Prior swim coaching experience required.
  • Coaching experience preferred.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead summer youth swimming program from mid-May to late-July.
  • Prepare swimmers to race in the championship meet.
  • Responsible for coaching and teaching swimmers aged 5-18, with varying levels of skill and experience.
  • Potentially manage multiple assistant coaches in developing and implementing organized practices focused on proper stroke technique, starts and turns.
  • Work with parents to foster their children’s love of swimming.
  • Promote team spirit, unity and enthusiasm with swimmers and parents.
  • Manage necessary databases (i.e. Team Unify) to track swimmer times, heat placements at swim meets and communication with families.
  • Prepare strategic team line ups/rosters for dual meets and championship meet.
  • Train and instruct assistant coaches on how to use databases in order to maximize results at meets and championships

Other Responsibilities:

  • Work with SwimSafe Pool Management and the Parent Board in managing all aspects of the swim team.
  • Provide vital input into the hiring, training and supervising of all assistant coaches.
  • Hold a pre-season meeting to communicate and educate swim team parents on team structure, goals and expectations.
  • Be accessible to parents via phone and email as questions/concerns arise

Pool Tech

  • Technician would be responsible for servicing a variety of commercial pools on a designated route.
  • Training program and great outdoor working environment.
  • Job duties include being a technician for a commercial pool route.
  • Will clean and maintain pools designated on given days.
  • Needs to have good customer service skills
  • Prior experience is not needed. We are willing to train.
  • Work will include being a technician to a set number of pools.
  • Must be physically able to handle outdoor and pool environments

Laborer for Construction and Repair

SwimSafe Pool Management- Construction and Repair is looking to hire general laborers for the upcoming season. We are a family-owned company that provides comprehensive pool management services to Tri-State area facilities. Construction and Repair Division’s mission is to use best practices to ensure that commercial pools are properly maintained to maximize the useful life of the pool, pumps and equipment.

Duties: Work with staff to complete repairs and construction projects focusing on pool surface demolition and laying pool tile, in various locations around Northern Kentucky, Cincinnati, and Dayton Ohio.

Qualifications: Prior pool experience is not required, but is helpful. Must be able to work evenings and weekends as needed. Reliable transportation is required. Over 18 years old.

Physical Requirements: Work involves heavy lifting and working with various tools types of demolition, hammers, and construction equipment. Requires the ability to work outdoors

Compensation: Based upon experience. Overtime is required.
